Earlier this year, Microsoft has released a public preview of the Windows Autopatch. This is a new feature from Microsoft, is now generally available. It is aimed at enterprise users of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
How does Microsoft Autopatch work for you?
AutopatchĀ keeps Microsoft Edge and Office software up to date, eliminating or at least reducing the risk of bugs and security issues. Although Windows Autopatch may sound like something that everyone could use, it is only being made available to customers with Windows Enterprise E3 and E5 licenses.
What Does the New Service Do?
- Windows Autopatch simplifies the process of updating your computer with Microsoft software, for example, updating of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Edge, and Microsoft 365 software.
- Engineering the use of Windows Updates for Business client policies and deployment service tools on your behalf.
- Create testing rings
- Monitors rollout; Pausing and even rolling back changes where possible
