BP Premier Setup, Configuration and Data Migration
Whether you’re a new practice starting from scratch or an existing clinic switching from another platform, we handle the full BP Premier setup. Server configuration, workstation deployment, database setup, user permissions, printer and scanner integration, and data migration from your previous system. We test everything before your team starts using it.
Software Updates and Patch Management
Best Practice releases regular updates covering MBS, PBS, DVA, drug databases, and system patches. We schedule and apply these after hours with a verified backup in place. If an update causes issues, we roll back before your next clinic day. We also manage Windows Server updates and third-party software that BP Premier depends on.
Helpdesk and Remote Support
When something goes wrong mid-consult or your front desk can’t process a claim, waiting hours for a callback isn’t an option. Our helpdesk responds within 3 minutes. Most Best Practice issues we resolve remotely in the same session. For anything that needs hands-on work, we have onsite technicians in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast.
Server Management and Infrastructure
BP Premier relies on properly configured server infrastructure. We manage your servers (physical or virtual), monitor performance, handle storage, and make sure your database is healthy. Whether you’re running on-premise, in the cloud, or a hybrid of both, we keep the infrastructure under your Best Practice system performing properly.
If you want to move Best Practice off local hardware and into the cloud, we can set that up. We host BP Premier in secure, Australian-based cloud environments built for clinical data. Cloud hosting gives your practice remote access, removes the burden of managing physical servers, and makes it easier to connect multiple locations. We handle the migration, testing, and handover.
Medical practices are a target. Patient records are valuable, and the Australian Privacy Act and RACGP accreditation standards set clear expectations around how that data is protected. We provide endpoint protection, firewall management, network segmentation, encrypted backups, and 24/7 threat monitoring. We also help with the IT-related documentation you need for RACGP accreditation.
